A soft, smooth, easy drinking red wine from the South of France.

Domaines Bonfils is a family business, that has been growing grapes since 1870. Now in the 6th generation, the business comprises 19 Domaines and Chateaux, 17 of which are in the Languedoc with 1800 hectares of vineyards, making them one of the largest independent grape-grower/wine producers in France. Domaine du Lirou, purchased in 1970 was the first Domaine in the South of France, purchased by Jean-Michel (3rd generation). The Domaine comprises 10 hectares and is located near the village of Montady. The Domaine takes its name from the river Lirou which rises near St Chinian and flows into the river Orb at Beziers.

Tasting Notes:
Ruby red, aromas of ripe fruits such as cherries, redcurrants,
blackberries and floral notes with a touch of liquorice. Great
intensity of fruit with a silky mouth feel and a rewarding finish.
Serving Suggestion:
A great accompaniment to charcuterie, tuna and lamb or try with
Cantal cheese.
